I agree with Sedberry. While some of the things in the article do happen in America, much of it seems very exaggerated.

Like Sedberry, I didn’t experience these types of problems when I was in high school. At the time, I looked like what Americans call “gothic”. Even though I looked like that, as did a lot of my friends, I once dated a cheerleader for a while. Her friends were nice to me, and my friends were always nice to her.

That aside, though, I do realize that this kind of thing happens, even if I personally haven’t experienced it. Yes, ifferent groups wear various types of clothing. But I don’t think this is the problem. The problem is the importance people attribute to what they wear. For example, I don’t care if someone wears Uggs, but it bothers me when someone believes that it is important that they wear a particular type of boots.

Are school uniforms the solution?

I don’t know.

Even if uniforms are compulsory, students still find ways to form groups.

To put it simply, I don’t have a solution.
